A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be unbelievably easy if you have a hosting plan with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your account. You will find all the email addresses that you have set up displayed in alphabetical order and to the right of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly tell you if a certain mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option at any moment. If there’s enabled email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning text message from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated plan with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this functionality will be to click that icon. In the very same way you will be able to remove the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you if you’re trying to activate a second catch-all email address for a particular domain name or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it will never alter or disable anything automatically or without your approval.
