Custom Error Pages in Hosting
If you get a hosting plan from our company, you will be able to set custom error pages for your websites fast and easy, because this feature is a part of all our solutions. As soon as you've created the files and uploaded them to your hosting account, you can check out the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia CP and click on the Edit button for the specific domain or subdomain. In the pop-up that will appear, you shall see drop-down options menus for all 4 sorts of errors and for each of them you may choose an Apache default page, a generic page from our system or a customized page. In case you select the third option, you should only type the URL to the file you have uploaded and save the change. A different way to set customized error pages is to set up an .htaccess file inside the domain or subdomain folder and to add a couple of lines of code in it. In case you don't have preceding experience or if you're simply uncertain how to do that, you may simply copy/paste the code from our Knowledge Base article on that topic.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
All semi-dedicated plans that we provide support personalized error pages and it will not take more than a few clicks from your Hepsia web hosting Control Panel to use this function. The option can be found in the Hosted Domains section of your CP where you'll need to type in the links to the custom-made files through basic drop-down menus and a time and effort saving interface. Needless to say, you need to upload them inside your account before that. If you don't want to employ this feature at some point, you could disable it just as fast and select an Apache server page or a default page from our system to be displayed whenever your visitors encounter an error. If you'd prefer, you can also use an .htaccess file to allow the custom error pages. The file needs to have a particular line of code as well as a link for every error type and you can easily find an example of the whole content for all four error types in our Help section.
